With an 8-6 win this afternoon at home against the San Francisco Giants, the Toronto Blue Jays tied a franchise record set four decades ago. The Blue Jays have won 10 straight home games for the first time since 1985. Toronto’s success at Rogers Centre began with a four-game sweep against the New York Yankees. It continued with a three-game sweep against the Los Angeles Angels and took all three games from the Giants. Toronto’s 35 home wins are the most in Major League Baseball. Can the Toronto Blue Jays keep up their fine play at home?

Toronto’s strong play as of late has them leading the American League East. The Blue Jays have been helped by a stellar offense. They are leading the league in batting average , 18th in home runs, and 10th in runs scored. Catcher Alejandro Kirk is seventh in the league in batting average. It has been a committee-like approach on offense for the Blue Jays.
The team’s pitching staff has been middling in 2025. They are 20th in team ERA, 17th in WHIP, and 13th in opposing batting average. Closer Jeff Hoffman is fourth in the league in saves. Starting Pitcher Chris Bassitt is tied for third in wins.
The Toronto Blue Jays will look to make franchise history tomorrow when they begin a three-game series against the New York Yankees. Toronto is playing at a high level at home. They will look to keep it going next week.
