Trevor Bauer would 'love to come home' and play for Dodgers

Cincinnati Reds pitcher Trevor Bauer wants to return to the West Coast, and there's one specific team he wants to play for.

The right-hander, who's never shy about his opinions, revealed he wouldn't mind playing for one specific team in his home state of California.

"I look forward to playing for the Dodgers one day," Bauer said Friday during his FaceTiming with Fans YouTube show. "I'd love to come home."

Bauer, 29, was born in North Hollywood and played college baseball at UCLA before being drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2011. He spent seven years with the Cleveland Indians before being traded to the Reds in a three-team deal last season.

The one-time All-Star has said in the past he's intent on signing one-year deals for the remainder of his career because he doesn't want to lock himself into a situation that may not make him happy. If he doesn't end up with the Dodgers in 2021, there will always be an option for Bauer to land with Los Angeles, provided the organization has any interest in the pitcher.
