Trevor Rogers Finding Groove Since Rejoining Orioles Rotation

For the Baltimore Orioles, who currently sit in last place in the American League East, there hasn't been much to be excited about with a severely underperforming team this season. But there has been a bright spot in the rotation this season in Trevor Rogers.

Rogers struggled mightily last season with a 4.92 ERA split between the Marlins and Orioles. Rogers, who dealt with a right knee injury to start the season, has been on a tear since returning to the Orioles rotation.

In three starts for the club, Rogers has posted an impressive 1.62 ERA through 16.2 innings this season. In his recent outing, the right-hander shut down the Texas Rangers, perhaps his best start as an Oriole. He finished the night tossing eight innings, allowing three hits, no walks and four strikeouts without allowing a single run.

The addition of Rogers has significantly boosted Baltimore's struggling rotation's efforts to turn this season around. The O's are 18-8 since May 30 and are at least in striking distance of a Wild Card berth in the AL.
