Following a slow start to the season, Minnesota Twins center fielder Byron Buxton has been on an offensive tear.
The Twins continue to be a public enemy for the Toronto Blue Jays, who suffered a 7-1 loss to them on April 30th.
Buxton hit his eighth home run of the season off Kevin Gausman, which gave them a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. He also went 3-for-4 in the game, dominating with his third game with three hits this season.
In his last 15 games, he has been red hot at the plate, batting .309 (21-for-68), with 10 RBI, a .347 OBP, and a 1.038 OPS.

Buxton showcasing resiliency
His recent power surge has helped shake the early-season struggles he was undergoing. The 32-year-old was running into offensive issues due to his launch angle (32°).
His launch angle was generating too many pop-ups and high fly balls. Overall, he was successful in making adjustments to his swing mechanics and batting stance, which has helped spark his offense.
His hot streak includes him hitting five home runs in his last nine games. He's made a significant impact with the Twins, helping to bolster the offense following a slow start to the season (3-11 record).
Last season, he barrelled 35 home runs and played 126 games, and as a power threat, he looks to continue the momentum from last season. His 6% walk-rate this season demonstrates his solid approach at the plate. As well, his .352 Weighted On-Base Average (wOBA) adds to his overall offensive value.
