The Minnesota Twins demoted right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday.

The move comes one day after Woods Richardson allowed six runs on eight hits in four innings of a no-decision in the second game of a doubleheader against the Baltimore Orioles.

Woods Richardson, 24, is 2-2 with a 5.02 ERA in eight games (seven starts) this season. Opponents are hitting .295 against him, with left-handers faring even better at .342.

Woods Richardson is 7-8 with a 4.48 ERA in 38 career appearances (36 starts) with the Twins since 2022.

Left-hander Kody Funderburk (1-0, 3.38 ERA) will remain on the roster to take the spot of Woods Richardson. He was called up prior to Thursday's doubleheader in Baltimore and picked up the win after tossing 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief.
