The Minnesota Twins have placed outfielder Trevor Larnach on the 10-day injured list with a mild groin strain.

The injury occurred in the second inning of Friday night's game against the Oakland Athletics when Larnach threw out Athletics outfielder Stephen Piscotty at home plate. Larnach stayed in the game, going 2-for-4 with a double, but did not play in Saturday's win over Oakland.

Larnach becomes the latest in a long list of Twins players who are dealing with injuries. Carlos Correa has missed the past two games after suffering a bruised finger in Thursday's loss to the Baltimore Orioles and Byron Buxton left Saturday's game with right hip tightness.

Manager Rocco Baldelli, Dylan Bundy and Luis Arraez are also not with the team after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this week, making six Twins that are currently out of the lineup.

The Twins recalled catcher Jose Godoy to take Larnach's roster spot but they will need to stay healthy if it wants to stay atop the American League Central Division.
