Twins Tyler And Taylor Rogers Shared A Special MLB Moment

It’s always a treat when we see wholesome moments in sports.

Outside of the competition, there’s always a sense of love and brotherhood among the athletes involved.

That feeling was on full display on Monday night before a game between the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants, two of the fiercest rivals in the National League West division.

Left-handed pitcher Taylor Rogers had just been traded over to San Diego from the Minnesota Twins.

His identical twin brother, right-hander Tyler Rogers, is a member of the Giants.

Both brothers are valuable weapons out of their team’s bullpens, but on Monday, the competition was set aside for a brief moment as the two brothers delivered their team’s lineup cards before the game.

Brothers In Arms

Outside of the competition, this is what baseball is all about.

As the old saying goes, it’s bigger than baseball.

We saw this happen in spring training before a game between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros, where Astros manager Dusty Baker and his son Darren, a prospect within the Nationals organization, delivered their team’s lineup cards and exchanged a hug.

Both brothers are used to the competition by now, but it’s nice to see them set aside their differences for a brief moment and show their love and respect for one another.

It’s a nice full circle moment where the two brothers met again after having played in separate leagues over the past few seasons.

These are the moments that we as sports fans can never get enough of.

Of course, Tyler and Taylor are now division rivals, so after this moment, the competition and sibling rivalry will kick in.
