Twitter had a field day during the Washington Nationals’ demolition of the New York Mets.

There are convincing victories and there’s what the Nationals did to the Mets on Tuesday in Washington DC. The Nationals racked up 26 hits on the way to a 25-4 win. Not surprisingly, the 25 runs established a new franchise record. Washington jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back. Infielder Jose Reyes pitched an inning and gave up the Nationals’ final six runs.

During the game, the Mets were the subject of countless jokes, punch lines, and memes. Here were some of the best ones:

For the Mets, it had to be painful reminder of April 30, 2017. That day, the Nationals beat them 23-5.
