The 2025 MLB season came to a close on Saturday, with the Los Angeles Dodgers successfully repeating as World Series champions after overcoming the odds and beating Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7, 5-4.
While Shohei Ohtani and the rest of the Dodgers begin their reign as two-time defending World Series champs, Guerrero has seemingly already started his vacation following a grueling grind in the MLB playoffs.
In a social media post on Instagram, the 26-year-old Guerrero shared a video showing him on a plane ride to Cancun, Mexico.
Guerrero was happily vibing to the music in the background while holding the 2025 American League Championship Series Most Valuable Player trophy he won after helping Toronto eliminate the Seattle Mariners. His mood was in stark contrast to what fans saw in a video showing him in tears in the dugout shortly after the Dodgers won the World Series.
“Thank you, Papa God, for everything ❤️,” read the English translation of what Guerrero wrote in the caption of the video.

The Blue Jays wasted several opportunities to get the job done against the Dodgers. For one, Toronto had a 3-2 series lead through five games in the series.
Despite holding the home-field advantage at Rogers Centre in the final two games, the Blue Jays faltered. In Game 7, Toronto zoomed to a 3-0 lead in the third inning, but the Blue Jays ultimately succumbed to the incredibly resilient Dodgers.
Toronto's World Series loss, however, was not because of a lack of trying from Guerrero. In fact, he led the Blue Jays in the series with a 1.074 OPS. He hit .333/.474/.600 with two home runs and eight walks to go with three RBIs through those seven memorable games. Overall in the postseason, he slashed .397/.494/.795 with eight home runs, 15 RBIs and 14 walks across 18 games.
