Washington Nationals' Kyle Finnegan Goes Viral For 'Dad Jokes' on Fathers Day
USA TODAY Sports

Sunday is Father's Day so that means you'll see plenty of blue around Major League Baseball as the league does its best to honor the impact of fathers and raise money for prostate cancer awareness and treatments.

It also represents a chance to have a little fun telling those cringy "dad jokes' that we all know and love.

That's exactly what Washington Nationals reliever Kyle Finnegan did, going around to his teammates and telling some of the all-time 'dad jokes' and getting beautiful reactions from his teammates.

You can watch his jokes -- and his interactions -- here.

Luckily the 31-year-old is a better pitcher than he is a joke teller, although the last joke about the egg and the car had me laughing as well.

This season, Finnegan is 3-3 with a 4.39 ERA in 27 games. He made his major league debut in 2020 with the Nats and is a lifetime 15-16 with a 3.57 ERA.

He was drafted by the A's in the sixth round of the 2013 draft out of Texas State University.

Still in a rebuild, the Nationals are in last place in the National League East at 27-42. They are 17.0 games behind the Atlanta Braves and have lost eight of their last 10.

The Nationals host the Miami Marlins on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. ET to close out the series before playing host to the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday afternoon at 4:05 p.m. ET.

Patrick Corbin pitches on Sunday against Marlins lefty Jesus Luzardo.
