Watch: Adolis Garcia ties MLB record, helps Rangers take early lead in WS Game 1

Adolis Garcia's red-hot postseason run for the Texas Rangers continues.

Garcia tied an MLB playoff record and helped the Rangers take an early 2-0 lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 1 of the World Series. In the bottom of the first inning, Garcia roped a single to score Texas' second run, equaling David Freese (2011) for the most RBI in a single postseason (21).

Entering the Fall Classic, Garcia slashed .327/.352/.750 with seven home runs and 20 RBI in 12 playoff games. Adding another run-scoring hit in Game 1, Garcia extended his RBI streak to seven games, plating 16 runs over that stretch.

In the ALCS, Garia earned MVP honors in the Rangers seven-game victory over the defending champion Houston Astros, going 10-for-28 with five homers and 15 RBI. In the deciding Game 7, Garcia carried the Rangers to an 11-4 win, finishing 4-of-5 with two long balls and five runs batted in.
