Watch: Dodgers blast four home runs in an inning

In what was already a blowout of a game, the Los Angeles Dodgers homered four times and scored seven runs in the sixth inning against the reigning World Series Champion Texas Rangers.

The Dodgers were already up 7-1 heading into the inning after a base-clearing double by Mookie Betts put the game out of reach from the Rangers.

After Betts drew a one-out walk in the sixth, Shohei Ohtani came to the plate amid a tough offensive stretch.  He crushed a fastball 433 feet at an exit velocity of 114.2 MPH. It was only his third home run since May 17.

Freddie Freeman came up to bat after Ohtani, and slapped a four-seam fastball the other way for an opposite-field home run, extending the Dodgers' lead to 10-1.

Will Smith, who had a three-run home run earlier in the game, got on base in front of Teoscar Hernandez. Hernandez was recently named the National League Player of the Week and kept his hot streak going, crushing a slider that stayed over the middle of the plate to make it 12-1.

Jason Heyward looked to join the home run fun with two outs and a runner on base. He crushed a heater 415 feet and over the visitor bullpen. The Dodgers had doubled their score in one inning.

It was the first time the Dodgers hit four home runs in an inning since 2021. Heyward's blast got a hilarious reaction from teammate Miguel Vargas.
