Working in AAA Gwinnett after returning from his oblique injury, he's officially thrown to a 2.70 ERA in his six and two-thirds innings, walking two and striking out eight. This will be his first big league start for Atlanta since 2018

Opposing Atlanta is RHP Kenta Maeda. The veteran is 1-4 with a 6.86 ERA across five starts. Dealing with injuries, he's pitched only twenty-one innings this season, with twenty-two strikeouts to five walks. The Braves roster don't have a ton of at-bats or success against Maeda, with one notable exception: Matt Olson is 3-4 with two homeruns and three RBIs.
