In the fifth inning of Friday's game against the San Diego Padres, Reds infielder/outfielder Spencer Steer hit his third home run of the game.

Steer is the first Cincinnati Red to hit three home runs in a game since Jesse Winker accomplished it in 2021.

Steer hit a solo home in the second inning of Dylan Cease. He followed it up with his second home run of the night in the fourth inning, also off Cease.

In the fifth, he hit a two-run home run off of left-handed pitcher Yuki Matsui to give the Reds an 8-0 lead.
