Watch: Royals' Jakob Junis kick-starts wild double play
Junis is responsible for one of the wildest plays we’ve seen in MLB. Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

Kansas City Royals pitcher Jakob Junis is responsible for one of the wildest plays we’ve seen in MLB for a long time.

In the top of the second inning Sunday against the Chicago White Sox, Eloy Jimenez laced a pitch right up the middle. Junis had his foot out after the pitch and the ball hit it, popping into the air. That allowed third baseman Maikel Franco the opportunity to catch it on the fly. Then, he fired to first base to cap off the wild double play.

Check out this awesome play.

Hopefully Junis’ foot isn’t black and blue after the impact of that laser-beam hit up the middle.
