Watch: Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton interrupts Aaron Boone’s in-game interview with HR

With the New York Yankees leading the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-0 in the third inning of Wednesday’s Game 5, Fox's Tom Verducci conducted a live interview with Yankees manager Aaron Boone from the dugout.

Verducci was asking Boone about Aaron Judge’s big home run earlier in the game … when they were suddenly interrupted by another monster dinger.

Boone was mid-sentence with Verducci when Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton leaped on a first-pitch fastball from Dodgers reliever Ryan Brasier and deposited it into the right field seats for a solo home run (giving the Yankees a 5-0 lead).

Once things had settled down, Boone then continued his interview with Verducci and finished up his answer about the Judge home run. Of all the ways to have a live TV interview interrupted, that one was definitely one that Boone would take any day of the week.

After scoring just seven runs through the first three games of the World Series, the Yankees have now exploded for 15 runs over the last 12 innings. Boone cost his team with a boneheaded decision in Game 1 of the series, so their offensive resurgence has to have him feeling pretty good right now.
