Bleacher Report recently ranked the Top 10 attendance in the MLB and like most other things, it is weighted towards the Los Angeles Dodgers. Why? Because their stadium holds the second-most capacity in the MLB, second to only the Oakland Athletics. Oakland Coliseum holds 56,782 people, Dodger Stadium holds 56,000 people.
As for the Atlanta Braves, Truist Park only holds 41,084 people (20th out of 30 MLB stadiums). So as far as filling their stadium according to the size of their stadium, the Braves are No. 1. The Braves are No. 5 on the Bleacher Report list of best average attendance, but that did not factor in stadium size.
The Braves averaged 39.4K people per game which is good for 95.9% attendance for every home game which is incredible. It is just another stat that shows how great Braves country is and how much they support the team. The San Diego Padres play in Petco Park, which is ranked as the No. 24 stadium size in the MLB with a capacity of 42,445 (40,209 seats). The Padres averaged 40.3K people per home game. So they had enough to fill all of their seats plus some more for the standing areas.
The Braves NL East rivals, the Philadelphia Phillies finished with the fifth-highest attendance, and they averaged 38.1K per home game in Citizens Bank Park. Citizens Bank Park holds 42,732 at capacity (11th out of 30 MLB Stadiums).
Braves Country proved they are the best in the MLB with 96% attendance for every home game. There is nothing like home-field advantage in Atlanta.
anyway here’s those numbers as a percentage of the stadium capacity. i just did it for the 10 groups mentioned so don’t fight me if team xyz is actually ranked higher https://t.co/zsqExng8B0 pic.twitter.com/jjGPHh9bJI
