According to Scott Merkin of MLB.com , Will Venable has confirmed that outfielder Andrew Benintendi will go on a rehab assignment before returning to the big-league squad.
Will Venable said pregame that Andrew Benintendi will go on an injury rehab assignment before returning to the White Sox.

The left-handed outfielder sustained a left calf strain and was placed on the injured list on May 7. Before the injured list stint, he had a .224/.298/.400 slash line in 95 plate appearances.
Benintendi has largely not lived up to the contract that Chicago gave him in 2023, but he provides a more stable presence in the outfield than the current alignment. It will be interesting to see if the White Sox option Brooks Baldwin or designate another player for assignment to clear space for his eventual return to the roster.
Currently, the White Sox only have four outfielders. They just claimed Vinny Capra from the Brewers, and the current backlog of infielders could force Chris Getz to cut ties with an infielder.
Hopefully, Benintendi returns to the roster soon enough to obtain that answer.
