Not much has gone right for the Chicago White Sox this season, but shortstop Chase Meidroth sure put together a nice highlight on Sunday.
Meidroth was on first base in the bottom of the fifth inning of his White Sox’s 5-2 win over the San Francisco Giants at Rate Field in Chicago, Ill. There was a 0-2 count with two outs, and Meidroth attempted to steal second base. The throw from Giants catcher Patrick Bailey beat him, but Meidroth got creative. He stuttered with his foot so that Brett Wisely would not be able to tag him.

Meidroth was initially called out on the field, but the White Sox requested a review, and the call was overturned, giving Meidroth credit for a stolen base.
The White Sox’s announcers absolutely loved Meidroth’s move after seeing it in slow motion.

That was Meidroth’s 10th stolen base of the season, and easily his most impressive one.
