Yadier Molina has received one-year offer from Cardinals
Will longtime St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina return to the team in 2021? Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

Yadier Molina has received one-year offer from Cardinals

Even at 38-years-old, Yadier Molina has no plans to retire.

The veteran catcher recently told a Puerto Rican newspaper that he expects to sign a new deal very soon, according to Luis Nolla of The Big 550 KTRS. He also told the paper that he has a one-year offer from the St. Louis Cardinals

Molina has spent his entire 17-year career with the Cardinals, slashing .281/.333/.404. During the pandemic-shortened campaign, he slashed .262/.303/.359 with four home runs and 16 RBI.

He is a two-time World Series champion, nine-time All-Star, nine-time Gold Glove winner, four-time Platinum Glover and one-time Silver Slugger.

Earlier this month, Molina said that he might retire if he doesn't receive an offer he likes. However, it certainly sounds like he has offers on the table that are up to his standards.
