Ben Rice is taking full advantage of his government name.

The New York Yankees first baseman announced in a post to Instagram on Monday that he has partnered with Ben’s Original to promote their brand of rice (Ben’s Original Rice). Rice shared a 15-second commercial for the brand in which he snacked on some Ben’s Original Rice while saying, “If your name’s Ben Rice, this kind of just happens.”

Take a look at the awesome ad.

Ben’s Original has been around since 1944. They were originally known as Uncle Ben’s but ended up rebranding as Ben’s Original in 2020.

As for the Yankees’ Rice, he is now 27 years old and is about to enter his third career season in Major League Baseball. Last season in New York, Rice batted .255 with 26 home runs and 65 RBIs over 138 total appearances.

We have seen some iconic endorsement deals in MLB over just the course of the last several months. But there is nothing with a better and more fitting ring to it than Ben Rice endorsing Ben’s Original Rice.
