The New York Yankees have been great so far this season despite having injuries all across the roster.

New York is one of just three teams in the American League with 19 wins and what makes it even more impressive is the fact that the club has had this success without some important pieces. The biggest injuries for New York certainly are Gerrit Cole and D.J. LeMahieu but the club has dealt with other ailments as well.

The Yankees have one of the best bullpens in baseball and yet they have been without the services of one of their top relievers. Nick Burdi has been out after being placed on the Injured List due to right hip inflammation.

New York certainly misses him but it sounds like he may not be out for too much longer as he's set to throw a bullpen in Somerset, according to MLB.com's Bryan Hoch.

"Yankees injury updates: (right-handed pitcher) Gerrit Cole: 'good day' playing catch in New York," Hoch said. "(Third baseman) Jon Berti: scheduled to play with Somerset tonight. (Right-handed pitcher) Tommy Kahnle: live BP in Tampa tomorrow. (Right-handed pitcher) Nick Burdi: throwing bullpen in Somerset."

Burdi has been great so far this season for the Yankees and hasn't allowed an earned run yet. The hard-throwing righty has appeared in seven games already this season and hasn't allowed a run while striking out eight batters in 6 1/3 innings pitched.

Hopefully Burdi doesn't suffer any more setbacks and can return to the mound for New York soon.
