Yankees' Jasson Dominguez tearing it up in Triple-A

New York Yankees top outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez has been delivering high-level production for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Yankees Triple-A affiliate team).

Across 89 plate appearances, he's sporting a .329 batting average with three home runs, 11 RBI, and eight stolen bases. His contact skills have demonstrated consistency through multi-hit games in AAA.

The 23-year-old also owns a .427 OBP and a .940 OPS. His strong performance has put him in a favorable position for a promotion. If injuries arise, this would be a great opportunity for him to reestablish himself in the majors.

While Dominguez performed well in camp with three home runs and a .325 batting average, he was optioned to AAA to start the 2026 season.

His defense has been a notable weakness in the past, but in AAA this season, his defensive abilities have shown improvements.

He's taken the time to polish his outfield defense and has made good plays in left field. His arm strength ranks in the 92nd percentile at 91.8 mph, showcasing his defense as sharp.

The Yankees have shown how they have had success with developing their prospects, and this has been evident through Ben Rice. He's transformed into a star for the Yankees this season, who is batting .318 with eight bombs.

The Dominican outfielder is a switch-hitter who has unleashed more power from the left side. But in early 2026, he's focused on enhancing more power from the right side when facing southpaws. His bat speed has been solid, which ranks in the 80th percentile at 74.1 mph.

Overall, his development and refinement of his skills both offensively and defensively make him a strong candidate to return to the major league level. He's been able to boost his confidence in the minors, which has been a positive sign for the Yankees prospect.
