New York Yankees pitcher Luis Severino was helped off the field Saturday during a minor league rehab start after suffering an apparent right leg injury, according to Conor Foley of the Times-Tribune in Scranton:

The 27-year-old is currently recovering from Tommy John surgery, which he had in February 2020.

It's unclear how severe Severino's latest injury is, but he'll likely face a setback in his recovery. The two-time All-Star hasn't pitched since 2019.
Severino's injury is unfortunate for a Yankees' rotation that could use some help. Corey Kluber is on the injured list with a strained rotator cuff, and New York's other starters have struggled in an overall disappointing season for the Bronx Bombers thus far.
New York is third in the AL East with a 33-30 record behind the Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox.
