Yankees manager Aaron Boone: 'We can win now with what we have'

The New York Yankees didn't make many moves prior to the MLB lockout starting in December, and the team has been quiet in the last few days after transactions have resumed. For now, the largest contract handed out by the Yankees was a one-year, $2 million deal given to pitcher Joely Rodriguez.

On Sunday, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said the team will be fine, regardless.

Last season, New York finished 92-70, but that was only good enough for a trip to the AL Wild Card Game, where the Boston Red Sox won, 6-2.

With only a few weeks left until the Yankees begin the 2022 season with a series against the Red Sox, there are still plenty of questions about what the Opening Day lineup will look like for New York. Most importantly, it's tough to know who will be playing shortstop for the Yankees next month.

The team has been talked about as a potential destination for two-time All-Star Carlos Correa, but the Yankees have reportedly balked at the price tag.
