The New York Yankees have placed Aroldis Chapman on the 10-day injured list with left elbow inflammation, according to SNY's Andy Martino.
Aroldis Chapman to IL with elbow inflammation. Pretty amazing how the Yankees have gone from sloppy underachievers to a team that keeps winning despite one major hit after another.

The move, retroactive to Friday, comes after Chapman allowed two baserunners in the ninth inning during Thursday's game against the Seattle Mariners before recording his 23rd save of the season.
Chapman is 5-3 this season with a 3.63 ERA, 1.336 WHIP and 68 strikeouts in 39.2 innings.
The 33-year-old lost his closing job after allowing three runs on July 4 in the first game of a doubleheader against the New York Mets and had a 10.80 ERA in 15 appearances before returning to close on July 20 against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Since returning as New York's closer, Chapman has seven straight saves and a 1.13 ERA in eight games.
