There's another one.

Jacob Lombard, the younger brother of Yankees’ No. 1 prospect George Lombard Jr. has been named to the roster for the 2025 MLB High School All-American Game, set for Tuesday, Aug. 12 at Dodger Stadium. The event will showcase 41 of the nation’s top prep players — all members of the Class of 2026 — in a nationally televised setting that has helped launch the careers of future big leaguers.

Lombard, a shortstop out of Gulliver Prep in Miami, shares his brother’s middle-infield instincts and athletic pedigree. George Jr., the Yankees’ 2023 first-round pick, has quickly risen to the top of the organization’s prospect rankings and is one of the most highly regarded young players in baseball. They are the sons of former big leaguer George Lombard, who is a current bench coach with the Detroit Tigers.

The All-American Game features players from 15 states, including standouts from MLB Develops’ Breakthrough Series, participants in last week’s Area Code Games in Long Beach, Calif., and members of USA Baseball’s 18U National Team. It will stream live on MLB.com and the MLB app at 7 p.m. PT, with a re-air on MLB Network at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 16.

The game will be managed by Mike Scioscia and Rick Eckstein, with coaching staffs featuring former Major League players and MLB club scouts. The broadcast will be called by Gregg Caserta, former Major League shortstop Cole Tucker, MLB Pipeline’s Jim Callis and Sande Charles.

Roster highlights: Will Adams, Wilson Andersen, Dylan Blomker, Carson Bolemon, Joseph Contreras, Nate Davis, Trey Ebel, Grady Emerson, Logan Georges, Alain Gomez-Gudiño, Cameron Hanes, Brayden Harris, Brady Harris, Ryan Harwood, Bo Holloway, Keon Johnson, Kingston Kela, Cole Koeninger, Jorvoskie Lane Jr., Jacob Lombard, Denton Lord, Dylan Minnatee, Anthony Murphy, Brady Murrietta, Lucas Nawrocki, Beau Peterson, Trey Rangel, Taytum Reeves, Kevin Roberts Jr., Gio Rojas, Aiden Ruiz, Dominic Santarelli, Logan Schmidt, Landon Shutte, Rookie Shepard, Cooper Sides, Savion Sims, Tyler Spangler, John Stowers, Kaden Waechter, Malachi Washington.

For Yankees fans tracking George Lombard Jr.’s rise, Jacob’s turn in the national spotlight is another family storyline worth following.
