The New York Yankees' season is over after losing in the American League Division Series to the Toronto Blue Jays.
It wasn't the ending they envisioned after reaching the World Series just one season ago.
The Yankees still put together one of the best offensive seasons across the league. They led the league in home runs with 274 and RBI with 820.
They were even recognized on Friday as the winner of the team American Silver Slugger Award. That's a testament to Yankees senior vice president and general manager Brian Cashman.
Cashman has put together a contending squad over the past few seasons, with stars including Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Jazz Chisholm Jr., Max Fried and more.
On Sunday, Cashman was inducted into the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame.
After the news, the Yankees posted on social media and reacted to the news.
"Congratulations to Yankees SVP & GM Brian Cashman on his induction to the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame today," the Yankees said.

Cashman has been with the Yankees since 1986 and has worked his way up the ranks.
He was originally an intern in the minor-league scouting department before being promoted to assistant general manager in 1992.
Then, in 1998, he became the general manager. Under his guidance, the Yankees have won the World Series on four occasions.
