Noche UFC 3 ended on an insanely high note.
The UFC fans went wild in San Antonio, Texas, and for good reason, as featherweight contenders Diego Lopes and Jean Silva both put on a fight of the year contender on Saturday night.
Scheduled for five rounds, the highly-rated finishers only needed two.
The Noche UFC main event was all action for as long as it lasted. Lopes nearly finished Silva with ground and pound in the first round and in the second round, Silva started to find his rhythm on the feet, stunning Lopes with his creative arsenal of strikes, including elbows.
Lopes used his weapons against The Fighting Nerds star and rocked Silva with a spinning elbow of his own, TKO’ing his opponent with more ground and pound strikes.
Right before Lopes won, popular streamer Adin Ross was praising Silva’s striking skills to a UFC champion.
Silva was fighting a strong second round until he became a little too reckless on the feet.
Adin Ross said he was starting to see shades of pound-for-pound king and current UFC Lightweight Champion Ilia Topuria, who’s arguably the best boxer in the UFC.
“He’s like Topuria, bro,” Ross said of Silva after he landed a thudding body kick on Lopes on his Kick stream.
Two seconds later, Silva was knocked down by a spinning elbow that landed flush.
Ross got out of his chair in shock, celebrating what would be Lopes’ 23rd knockout as a pro.
“That was the craziest fight I’ve ever seen,” Ross said of Lopes vs Silva at Noche UFC 3.

Three of the four are coming off losses this month, with Prates rebounding from a decision loss to Ian Machado Garry in May with a spinning elbow KO of Geoff Neal at UFC 319 in August.
Borralho and Ruffy lost their fights to ranked contenders in the UFC Paris double-header.
