Nobody knows more about Jiri Prochazka vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. than Alex Pereira.

The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion returns on the same card as his former foes, in the main event of UFC 320 against current titleholder Magomed Ankalaev.

In a span of a few months last year, Pereira TKO’d top contenders Rountree Jr. and Prochazka in back-to-back fights before losing the title to Ankalaev at UFC 313 in March.

Prochazka and Rountree Jr. have since bounced back from their title fight losses to Pereira with clinical performances over common opponent Jamahal Hill earlier this year.

Now, they meet on Pereira’s undercard on Oct. 4 in Las Vegas.

‘Poatan’ has given his thoughts on the matchup.

Alex Pereira says Jiri Prochazka’s movement can give Khalil Rountree Jr. problems at UFC 320

Pereira has gone four rounds total with both Prochazka (in two fights) and Rountree Jr.

Prochazka gave Pereira some trouble on the feet in their first fight, as did Rountree Jr.

Rountree Jr. won his first two rounds against Pereira in a Muay Thai vs. kickboxing battle at UFC 307.

Pereira was asked who he favors between former rivals at UFC 320.

“It’s hard to say,” Pereira told Stake.

“You know, I think Jiri has really great movement and footwork,” Pereira added.

“Khalil is very good as well, but I think it might be a little complicated for him because of all the movement of Jiri…

“It could be a tough fight,” said Pereira.

Prochazka is one of the most unorthodox fighters on the UFC roster. A former champion himself, Prochazka has only lost to Pereira in his last 17 fights.

Alex Pereira doesn’t really know who’s fighting on his undercard

With no pay-per-view event in September, UFC fans will have to wait a little longer for UFC 320 on Oct. 4.

The card features a championship double-header as UFC Bantamweight Champion Merab Dvalishvili also defends his title against Cory Sandhagen in the co-main event.

Besides that, Pereira doesn’t seem to know who is all fighting before him in Las Vegas.

“I’m so focused on my fight,” Pereira explained.

“I know Merab is fighting that night but I don’t know anything else about the card to be honest,” said Pereira.

The next pay-per-view offering features a featherweight bout between former Ilia Topuria foes Josh Emmett and Youssef Zalal , as well as a middleweight bout between Joe Pyfer and Abus Magomedov.

The potential title eliminator between Prochazka and Rountree Jr. is also on the main card.
