April 20 is a holiday celebrated by stoners across the nation. Famous for its marijuana influence, some would think that the plant would impact the UFC and MMA, in general. That is certainly the case, with numerous fighters toking up.

So let’s explore who are the best blazin’ fighters in the promotion. These fighters kick butt and blaze in their lives, relaxing after a long, hard fight. Here are the three best blazin’ fighters in UFC.

UFC Legend Nate Diaz

Nate Diaz is a legendary MMA fighter, taking down superstars such as Conor McGregor. But the Stockton native has done more for the promotion than simply beat people up. He’s also the person behind the UFC’s change in their anti-doping policy.

Diaz is an avid marijuana smoker, using it to ease the pain of regular beatdowns. When a fighter is taking constant blows to the head and other body parts, how are they supposed to manage the pain? That’s the question Nate Diaz proposed to the promotion, with UFC removing the banned drug and reforming their policy on December 31, 2023.

Nick Diaz

Another fighter who influenced the promotion’s anti-doping change was Nate Diaz’s brother, Nick. The Stockton native also uses marijuana as a means to manage pain, helping him get through daily life without being in excruciating pain.

Like his brother, Nate, Nick also has some legendary victories in his fighting career. He’s taken down fighters such as B.J. Penn and Robbie Lawler, boosting his name in the business. But the submission specialist (eight in his career) wouldn’t be taking up boxing without the greens, extending his career in fighting.

Sean O’Malley

The rising superstar is taking over the UFC bantamweight division, beating all-comers without breaking a sweat. Sean O’Malley (18-1) has had an interesting journey to the top, taking down superstars like Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling.

However, O’Malley has also been known to take on the greens, famously smoking with Snoop Dogg. In fact, the Montana native released his own strain, with the marijuana debuting at a UFC 222 afterparty.
