Arman Tsarukyan isn’t done with the UFC just yet—but his latest comments suggest there’s more to his story than what fans are seeing right now. The rising lightweight contender recently dropped a subtle hint about life after MMA, and it didn’t go unnoticed.

For now, Tsarukyan remains fully committed to his run inside the octagon. He’s been steadily building momentum in one of the toughest divisions in the sport, and his focus is clear—win big fights, chase the title, and cement his legacy. At this point in his career, there’s still unfinished business, and he knows it.

“I want to break all the records here first,” Tsarukyan said. “Then maybe I can think about something else, like boxing. But right now, I’m focused on UFC.” His words didn’t confirm anything outright, but they gave just enough to spark curiosity about what lies ahead.

It’s that “maybe” that stands out. Tsarukyan isn’t rushing into anything, but he’s clearly thinking long-term. And if he does accomplish everything he’s aiming for in the UFC, a switch could become very real. Until then, he’s locked in. At the moment, his entire focus is on booking a fight against lightweight champion Ilia Topuria. However, the promotion has been rejecting any and every opportunity.

Arman Tsarukyan Criticizes UFC for Not Booking Ilia Topuria Fight

According to rankings and most UFC fans, Arman Tsarukyan is the perfect candidate to fight Topuria. While Tsarukyan has been trying to get a shot at the title for a while now, Dana White has been denying him that chance. Frustrated with this, the Armenian recently addressed the UFC and expressed his disappointment.

“We are both on the—young, and on our prime. Everybody’s gonna talk about that fight. 50% gonna think I’m gonna win, 50% gonna think Ilia’s gonna win. If it’s not you next, then we have a massive problem… My fans gonna have a problem with UFC,” Arman recently stated.

For now, Arman Tsarukyan seems focused on other pursuits. With no UFC fight lined up, he has spent the past few months competing in RAF events. As things stand, there’s no clear timeline for his return to the Octagon—but when he does come back, it’s expected to be a big moment.
