Arman Tsarukyan seemingly knows when he will be fighting in MMA again.

2026 started with uproar about the UFC’s decision regarding the lightweight division, as both Paddy Pimblett and Justin Gaethje were picked to fight for interim gold over the top contender.

Dana White explained Tsarukyan’s snub, suggesting his antics away from the Octagon were preventing him from getting another opportunity. Finally, though, it sounds like the Armenian is out of the UFC doghouse.

Arman Tsarukyan claims Hunter Campbell has confirmed his UFC return date

Tsarukyan’s UFC future has been unclear ever since the immediate lightweight title picture was laid out without his involvement.

After the result at UFC 324, Ilia Topuria’s unification fight with Justin Gaethje will headline the White House event on June 14.

In the meantime, Tsarukyan has stayed busy away from the Octagon, competing in five matches under banners like Real American Freestyle and Hype FC. He will compete in a sixth on March 28, when Tsarukyan rematches Georgio Poullas at RAF07.

This time, however, the lightweight contender will seemingly have a set UFC return date in mind while he stays active on the mats.

“I am in talks with Hunter,” Tsarukyan recently told Red Corner MMA. “He is in charge of matchmaking.

“I’ve got nothing to say to Dana, I need to ask Hunter for a fight. We talked this morning and he gave me a date for my next fight,” he added

Tsarukyan choked out Muhammad Mokaev at Hype Brazil on Wednesday, which has kept his undefeated run outside of the UFC intact.

His previous match with Poullas ended in a wild brawl, something he will need to avoid on March 28 given how such antics have hampered his wait for a UFC title shot since the start of 2025.

The Armenian has become known as somewhat of a ‘hothead’, having punched a fan during his UFC 300 walkout and headbutted Dan Hooker at the UFC Qatar ceremonial weigh-ins.
