Arman Tsarukyan ready to seek help from Khamzat Chimaev to face Islam Makhachev in title fight

Arman Tsarukyan is undoubtedly the top contender for the lightweight championship. While the UFC has yet to announce his match against Islam Makhachev, Tsarukyan is optimistic about his chances. Tsarukyan has ambitious plans for the fight, including seeking the assistance of UFC middleweight, Khamzat Chimaev.

During a recent interview with Sports 24, Tsarukyan revealed that he wishes to train with Chimaev for his upcoming fight. Both fighters are expected to go against each other on the sets of Hype Reality 3. It is a Russian version of The Ultimate Fighter without the final battle between the coaches. Given the opportunity, Tsarukyan’s plan to seek the help of Chimaev is quite evident.

Arman Tsarukyan‘s win at UFC 300 was overshadowed by his hitting a fan in the arena. Due to this, the fighter was fined $25K and a nine-month ban. However, Tsarukyan isn’t allowing this to stop him from training for the Islam Makhachev mega fight.

Khamzat Chimaev, on the other hand, did not compete in his most recent bout owing to illness. However, the fighter has recovered from it at least. Recently, ‘Borz’ went viral after beating up a Russian YouTuber in a sparring session. Despite widespread criticism from fight fans, it was a good indicator of Chimaev’s health. It won’t be shocking to see him train alongside Arman Tsarukyan. Similarly, it isn’t the only support the Armenian is getting for his preparation.

The last time Arman Tsarukyan fought Islam Makhachev was his debut fight in the UFC. Despite the inexperience, Tsarukyan managed to put forward an incredible fight, though it wasn’t enough. However, this time the fighter is ready and fans are expecting a wrestling-heavy fight from both the competitors.

Given the situation, Arman Tsarukyan recently posted a clip on his Instagram training with two-time Olympic gold medalist, Abdulrashid Sadulaev. The freestyle wrestler is regarded as one of the best in the history of the sport. His achievements also include five-time world and European gold medalist.

Hailing from Dagestan, Sadulaev is also a close friend of Team Khabib and Islam Makhachev. The fighter also congratulated Makhachev on his UFC title victory at UFC 280. Nevertheless, it seems like Tsarukyan is doing everything he can to be ready for his revenge against Makhachev.
