Battlefield Fight League returns to downtown Vancouver and we will have BFL 83 results for you all night long.

BFL 83 goes down on Thursday, April 17 from the Harbour Convention Centre in the heart of Vancouver, British Columbia. The preliminary portion of the card airs live on the promotion’s YouTube channel at 4:30 p.m. PT/7:30 p.m. ET, with the main card beginning at 6:30 p.m. PT/9:30 p.m. ET on UFC Fight Pass.

The main event will see the next welterweight kingpin in Canada prevail, as undefeated prospect Adam Posener takes on the #10 ranked Canadian 170-pounder Zack Powell.

Posener (4-0) has been on quite the run. He began his amateur career just two and a half years ago and amassed a 5-0 record, with five finishes – four submissions and one TKO. In 2024, the 20-year-old turned pro and has gone undefeated with submission victories in all four of those outings. His most recent victory was at Samourai MMA 12 where he snagged a last ditch armbar with 5-seconds left in the fight against Trukon Carson.

Powell (9-2) will make his return to the BFL cage, after losing one of the worst decisions in promotion history, against Dario Sinagoga at BFL 67 in 2021. Since that bout, he has lost once and it was a decision to Mark Hulme under the Unified MMA banner. The Niagara Top Team product is riding a three-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory being a unanimous decision against Mohamed Ado at Unified MMA 60 in January.

A victory for either of these men will likely set them up for a shot at the UFC.

There are a slough of remarkable match-ups on this card, including the co-main event between former bantamweight champion Ali Wasuk and Rick Zaleda. Also featured on the card are veterans Josh Kwiatkowski who takes on Teshay Gouthro, Nicolas Ouellet vs. Brandon Altomare, Erfan Ahangarian vs. Tylor Nicholson and Brandon Briglio vs. Dragos Robertson.

The main card will be kicked off by an intriguing match and first in promotional history, as BFL veteran Ash Mashreghi takes on a mystery opponent, who fans will not find out about until he enters the cage.
