BKFC Omaha is almost here. On a holiday weekend without the UFC in action, your options for competitive violence are limited for the first time since the end of January. Just because there’s not much going on in the fight game, it doesn’t mean that the action isn’t kicking on Friday night.

With the PFL World Tournament being the only major option in MMA this weekend with PFL 3 happening in Orlando on Friday, BKFC has action of its own in the ring the same evening. For the first time since last year, David Feldman‘s promotion heads to the city of Omaha for another BKFC Fight Night.

Live coverage of BKFC Omaha begins Friday evening at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT on DAZN after the countdown show one hour earlier on YouTube. Barring any 11th-hour postponements between now and fight night, the final version of the event features a total of 11 bare-knuckle matches.

BKFC Omaha Main Event: Dakota Cochrane vs. Marcus Edwards

Highlighting the night’s activities from The Astro Theater in Omaha is a middleweight fixture matching Dakota Cochrane (7-2 bare-knuckle) against undefeated Marcus Edwards (3-0 bare-knuckle) in the main event of the evening. All fights on BKFC Omaha will be an advertised maximum of five rounds at two minutes per round.

Dakota Cochrane comes into the headliner with a record of 4-1 in his last five contests and is currently on a four-fight winning streak. All four wins have been via knockout.

Last time out, Cochrane scored a third-round TKO of Will Santiago (2-1-1 bare-knuckle) with 57 seconds remaining on the clock to run the streak to four in succession. After a stopover in Uncasville, CT for his last fight, he’s back in Nebraska for the BKFC Omaha main event this coming weekend. Will familiar surroundings bring about a fifth consecutive win?

In the other corner, Marcus Edwards has yet to lose in bare-knuckle boxing since joining the BKFC active roster back in 2023. Most recently, he bested Pat Casey (1-2 bare-knuckle) in Denver last October.

Friday’s contest is Edwards’ first outside of Colorado in his BKFC tenure. Can he stunt Cochrane’s momentum in Nebraska?

BKFC Omaha Co-Main Event: Bryce Henry vs. Derrick Findley

Immediately beforehand, the co-main attraction of BKFC Omaha sees action taking place in the welterweight division when undefeated Bryce Henry (4-0 bare-knuckle) knuckles up with Derrick Findley (3-2 bare-knuckle.) Henry enters the card having yet to lose thus far in his bare-knuckle tenure.

Back in February of last year, he got his hand raised in victory after a second-round TKO victory over Robbie Peralta (4-2 bare-knuckle) in Hollywood, FL. He’s had 14-plus months off after his most recent contest.

Thus, the age-old question of ring rust rears its head once again ahead of Friday night’s event. How much does Bryce Henry have ahead of BKFC Omaha and what has he done to shake it off? Tune in for the answers.

Meanwhile, Derrick Findley will be making the walk on Friday night having posted a record of 3-2 in his last five fights. He’s emerged victorious from his last three consecutive bouts.

Most recently, he bested Felipe Chavez (2-1 bare-knuckle) with a second-round knockout at 1:59 into the period on Feb. 28 in Albuquerque on DAZN. Unlike his opponent, Findley will be making a quick turnaround for BKFC Omaha. Can he score two wins in under 60 days?

BKFC Omaha Featured Bout: Dionisio Ramirez vs. Zeb Vincent

Also on BKFC Omaha this Friday night, the featured contest of the evening takes place at middleweight. Dionisio Ramirez (1-0 bare-knuckle), a 14-fight veteran of MMA,  will be making his second appearance in the promotion versus Zeb Vincent (3-1 bare-knuckle.)

Ramirez enters this weekend’s card with a record of 3-2 in his last five appearances dating back to his MMA tenure and is currently on a three-fight winning streak. Last May, he made his BKFC debut a successful one, having finished Kassius Kayne (0-1 bare-knuckle) with one second left to go on the first-round clock at welterweight.

Prior to that fight, he hadn’t made an appearance in combat sports in over four and a half years’ time. Now that he’s back in competition and in another weight class, can he start to make a run for the BKFC Middleweight Championship?

In the other corner, Zeb Vincent is sporting a 4-1 record in his last five contests, MMA bouts included. At the moment, he’s on a two-fight winning streak. He had an active 2024, competing in both the LFA and BKFC.

Last August, he stopped Doug Coltrane in the fourth round of a scheduled five in Kansas City, KS. He hasn’t competed in eight months, so will the long hiatus play a factor as he moves down from cruiserweight?
