Blachowicz Vs. Ulberg Predictions – ‘He’s Got The Touch Of Death’
Per Haljestam-Imagn Images

Jan Blachowicz takes on Carlos Ulberg at UFC London as MMA insiders gave their predictions.

Blachowicz is targeting a title shot, aiming to disrupt Alex Pereira’s likely rematch with Magomed Ankalaev. Blachowicz’s comments arrive after Pereira lost his UFC Light Heavyweight Title to Ankalaev at UFC 313. Blachowicz has already faced Pereira and Ankalaev, coming out second-best in both fights. He lost a split decision to Pereira at UFC 291 while securing a draw with Ankalaev at UFC 282.

Blachowicz is the former light heavyweight champion before he lost his belt to Glover Teixeira. His only win since then was against Aleksandar Rakic in 2022. Ulberg is in impressive form with a 12-1-0 record. His only loss was against Kennedy Nzechukwu at UFC 259 in 2021. He has stopped five out of his last six opponents inside the distance. Here is how insiders saw the fight playing out.

Blachowicz Vs. Ulberg

“Man, how long’s it been since Błachowicz fought? He is older. Think I go with—uh, is it Ulberg? Yeah, oh, that guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I would definitely pick that guy. [And] yeah, he’s gonna be aggressive as— [hell],” Curtis Blaydes

“Oh man, dude, Ulberg’s on one right now. Yeah, that’s tough. Again, Błachowicz has to come out and grapple. He’s one of the most underrated grapplers in the game, and when you see him grapple at a high level, he’s taking people down, holding people down. Saw it versus Israel Adesanya. Kind of gassed out versus Alex Pereira. Had he been able to score those takedowns, we might have been talking about a different guy as champion at light heavyweight. So, he’s got a lot to prove. He really does. I think he needs to get in there and get his wrestling going. But again, I’m going to go with Ulberg on this one,” Eric Nicksick

“Ah, man, I always like seeing those City Kickboxing guys win. I’m a fan of their team and their style. So, I’d love to see Carlos Ulberg win. But Błachowicz—he’s huge. I bet he walks in there close to 235, 240. Big, strong. Four-ounce gloves, it’s hard to pick against Yan Błachowicz, so I’ll probably pick him,” Tim Welch

More Predictions

“Man. It’s gonna be tough. I could see Ulberg coming up and getting him. He’s fresh blood, so let’s go Ulberg, and then get a matchup with Ulberg sometime down the road,” Dustin Jacoby

“Ulberg, man, he’s hot. He’s hot right now. He’s got the touch of death right now. Give it to him,” Jamal Pogues

“I see Jan. I see Jan. I see Jan getting it done. I see him getting it done for sure,” Mansur Abdul-Malik

“Oh, that’s a tough one, man. But I’ll say Ulberg,” Modestas Bukauskas

“Let’s go with Jan,” Steve Garcia

“Man, I don’t know if Jan’s gonna be able to stay away from the power, so I’m leaning Ulberg,” Vince Morales
