Bo Nickal slammed by Luke Rockhold and Colby Covington as RAF press conference goes off the rails

Bo Nickal had a rough night at the RAF 05 press conference in Florida tonight as he was shredded by two former UFC champions.

Colby Covington and Luke Rockhold are facing each other in the main event of a star studded freestyle wrestling show tomorrow night in Sunrise, Florida. Nickal is going to take on the legendary Yoel Romero in the penultimate bout of the night, but couldn’t resist taking a pop at the two headliners.

The brash college wrestling legend wants a two-bout deal with Covington; one in the RAF before eventually meeting inside the octagon. But he was quickly dismissed by the former interim UFC welterweight champion.

After receiving some words from Bo Nickal who was seated in the front row, Colby Covington mocked him for giving what he called the ‘Sandusky special’. This was a nod to Nickal’s former home Penn State where the disgraced former coach Jerry Sandusky used to work.

And when he got more reaction from Nickal, who had no microphone, Covington replied: “Didn’t you get beat up by a Dutch kickboxer? I forgot, remember your cardio? You got beat up by a Dutch kickboxer, that’s right.”

Covington then joked about Nickal never having headlined a major UFC event, adding “Come on Bo, come on bro, have you ever been a main event?” He then repeated his Sandusky joke, before claiming “bozos” like Nickal had “killed the sport of wrestling”.

“We need stars, we need people that are willing to be vocal and call their shots,” Covington replied, to which Nickal noted that he wanted a two-fight deal. “Come on, that’d be too easy bro,” the former interim champion replied. “You got broken by a Dutch kickboxer man, come on, dude. You’re a bum.

“We’re talking about big money here, not bums. We’re talking about Luke Rockhold, first ballot Hall of Famer. Not some unproven kid in the corner who’s never done anything.”

After Covington’s more dismissive, withering approach to Nickal’s trolling, Luke Rockhold took it a bit further when the conversation got to him. He shredded the young upstart, mocking his current CV and noting that he has already achieved it all in MMA, including multiple world championships.
