Khamzat Chimaev will wrestle Tyron Woodley at Real American Freestyle's Moscow event on Sept. 5, the promotion announced.

The match pits two former UFC champions against each other in freestyle wrestling competition. Chimaev, a three-time Swedish national freestyle champion, captured the UFC middleweight title in May before losing it to Sean Strickland. Woodley, who held the UFC welterweight strap from 2016 to 2019, was a two-time NCAA Division-1 All-American and Big 12 Conference champion at Missouri.

Chimaev's RAF Activity While Awaiting Strickland Rematch

The 32-year-old Chimaev last competed for RAF in June, stopping Dillon Danis by pin in St. Louis, according to MMA Mania. Woodley is scheduled to make his RAF debut next month in Cleveland against UFC welterweight Joaquin Buckley before the Moscow bout.

Chimaev remains in line for a rematch with Strickland but has not received a date from the UFC. The Moscow card will air on FOX Nation and sits between RAF's Cleveland show on Aug. 22 and a Miami event on Sept. 19 featuring Colby Covington against Belal Muhammad.
