Chimaev To Face Gilbert Burns At RAF 13

Khamzat Chimaev will face Gilbert Burns at a catchweight in the RAF 13 co-main event on September 18, running back a fight Chimaev narrowly won by decision at UFC 273. RAF announced the matchup Wednesday.

Chimaev is staying active on the mats after a Real American Freestyle wrestling debut win over Dillon Danis earlier this year, and appears to be eyeing a middleweight rematch with Sean Strickland after losing to him by split decision.

Burns, who retired from the UFC following a loss to Mike Malott at UFC Winnipeg, last competed in submission grappling this summer, beating Horlando Monteiro at UFC BJJ 9.

The RAF 13 main event pits Colby Covington against Belal Muhammad, a rematch of a rivalry that nearly boiled over at a post-fight press conference earlier this year.
