Many UFC stars have come forward to criticize the UFC White House card. Despite the star power on the card, fans and stars think it’s not hyped enough. And recently, Colby Covington, who was once rumored to be on the White House card, criticized it, calling it a terrible card.
Covington slammed the card, calling it “piss-poor” and saying it doesn’t live up to the hype. ‘Chaos’ claimed the UFC initially promised 6–7 title fights, but ended up putting together a card with only one title fight and a last-minute interim title fight. In an interview with MMA Junkie, the welterweight star said:
“It’s piss poor at best. The fans have spoken; they said they hate it. It’s a terrible card. They promised 6 or 7 title fights, now they have one title fight and an interim title fight they just put together last minute. The thing was so disorganized. They put it together last minute, there wasn’t any big high ranking American fighters.“

According to Covington, the card feels rushed and disorganized, suggesting the promotion may not be putting in the same effort after securing its major deal with Paramount. MMA veteran Matt Brown has also criticized the card for adding unknown fighters.
The UFC White House event features huge stars like Ilia Topuria , Alex Pereira, and Sean O’Malley, but some still believe the matchmaking could’ve been better. Talking about it, Matt Brown questioned why lesser-known names like Aiman Zahabi and Kyle Daukaus were included in such a historic event. In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, the MMA veteran said:
“They’ve got guys I’ve never even heard of. I remember who they are when I kind of thought about it for a minute. Like [Aiemann] Zahabi, I’m like who the hell is that guy? Kyle Daukaus? I actually don’t know who Kyle Daukaus is as a matter of fact.“
