Colby Covington is extremely disappointed with the UFC brass for not putting him on the White House card.

The former UFC interim welterweight champion hasn’t fought inside the Octagon since December 2024 when he was brutally beaten by Joaquin Buckley.

During that time, the 38-year-old has competed in Real American Freestyle Wrestling against Luke Rockhold, and will make another appearance on the mats against Dillon Danis at RAF07.

Despite that, Colby Covington has aired his frustration with the UFC brass for not offering him a fight on the UFC White House event on June 14.

Covington thought he would be a shoo-in for UFC White House fight

Covington has an ongoing feud with UFC star Bo Nickal, and it seemed possible that the two would clash on the monumental card.

Nickal even claimed that the promotion told Covington that was the only possible fight for him on the White House, but he declined it.

Despite that, Covington has claimed that he wasn’t offered a fight on the card, and he is ‘bummed’ about it.

“I mean definitely, I wouldn’t say bothered, more like bummed,” he told MMAJunkie.

“I thought I was a shoo-in for that spot, I’m the one that brought (Donald) Trump into the UFC back in 2018 when no one was supporting him… I thought I was gonna be able to get that call to represent the U.S. and be on the card but it wasn’t in their (plans).

“Hunter (Campbell) didn’t give me the opportunity, the UFC didn’t give me the opportunity, I wasn’t gonna go to Trump, everyone’s like, ‘You should go to Trump and asked him for a favor’, man, he’s got way more important things to worry about.”

According to Covington, the promotion is planning on having him fight the winner of the upcoming fight between Gilbert Burns and Mike Malott.

“Hunter made it pretty clear that he wants me to fight the winner of Malott vs Burns which doesn’t make sense for me to wait out till the end of the year… Sure, I’ll do whatever the UFC wants.”

The 38-year-old went on to state that the UFC White House card is ‘p— poor at best’, claiming that the UFC doesn’t care anymore about putting on the best fights.

“It’s p— poor at best… It’s a terrible card, they promised six or seven title fights now they have one title fight and an interim title fight… The thing was so disorganized, they put it together last-minute, there wasn’t any big hype ranking American fighters.

“It seems like they don’t care anymore, they made all that money with Paramount and now they’re happy so, it is what it is, it’s unfortunate. I think RAF is the place to be… The future looks brighter for RAF.”
