Conor McGregor Admits He’s Already Burned Some Bridges In Hollywood

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has made his fair share of enemies inside the Octagon.

Nate Diaz, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Michael Chandler and even Rose Namajunas just to name a few.

Now, though, “Notorious” believes he has enemies in Hollywood.

McGregor is featured in the remake of “Road House,” which releases on Prime Video in March. The movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal and includes several fight scenes with McGregor.

Over the years, though, McGregor has turned down offers to appear in films. He now believes that has hurt his reputation.

“I had turned down a good few roles in my time on the climb,” he said in an interview with Total Film. “I’ve had directors show up at fight camp, really beautiful directors doing top-end movies. They’d come and I always turned them down.

“I’d leave people a little high and dry. I probable have a few enemies out there I don’t really know of because I had said, ‘I might do it.'”

McGregor had plenty of time to film his scenes for Road House. He suffered a serious injury in his second meeting with Dustin Poirier in 2021.

In fact, he has yet to return to action, inciting some interesting responses from Chandler. The two were featured on The Ultimate Fighter as coaches and are still believed to be future opponents.

While critical of several things, McGregor admits he was in “awe” to what took place around filming the movie.

“I was just in awe of it all to be honest with you,” he said. “The whole process. I didn’t know how I was going to take to it.

“I’m not an actor; I’m show business. That was my vibe to it. I felt that. I enjoyed every second of it.”
