Conor McGregor's used gear from UFC 246 up for auction

Conor McGregor's used fight gear could be yours.

The gloves, hand wraps, fight shorts and Irish flag he used during his UFC 246 showdown with Donald Cerrone now are up for auction with Fanatics. All three items are signed by McGregor.

McGregor dominated Cerrone in his first fight since losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018, knocking him out in just 40 seconds.

The starting bid on McGregor's gloves was $2,500, but the auction now is at $31,000 as of Friday afternoon. His shorts have a current bid of $11,000 and the Irish flag is at $2,500.

McGregor announced his retirement from fighting in June after the conclusion of UFC 250, but it wasn't the first time he did so.

He first walked away from the sport in 2016 after refusing to travel to the United States to take part in a news conference for his rematch against Nate Diaz. He returned later that summer and defeated Diaz. McGregor then announced he was retiring again in 2019, but returned to defeat Cerrone in January.

The native of Ireland was going to fight three times in 2020, and while he completed his first fight, the coronavirus pandemic has thus far prevented him from fighting since.
