Daniel Cormier has shot down Jon Jones' account of a private reconciliation between the two former rivals.

Jones recently told ALF Global that Cormier acknowledged during filming of a reality series in Thailand that their feud was too profitable to publicly resolve, suggesting the two had privately made peace. Cormier denied any such exchange occurred.

Cormier on Jones: 'He's Just My Enemy All the Time'

"That didn't happen," Cormier said on his YouTube channel, per Sherdog. "We did not have that conversation... No. He's just my enemy all the time. It just is what it is. It's OK. As I have told you before, you can go to bed at night with an enemy. You don't need the happy fairy tale ending."

The UFC Hall of Famer acknowledged the rivalry generated massive paydays for both fighters but insisted the animosity was never staged for commercial purposes. While Cormier admitted time has softened the intensity enough that the two can now share a room without incident, he made clear too much history exists for any friendship to develop.

Cormier questioned why Jones continues bringing up their past battles. "Generally, when you get older, you start to dislike people more," he added. "Jon Jones, I do still hate you and I always will."
