In every season of Dana White’s Contender Series there tends to be a war that gets fans fired up.

On Tuesday, week four of the latest season of Dana White’s Contender Series took place, with the next batch of hopeful contenders looking to earn their contracts in the UFC.

Once again, the boss Dana White was in attendance enjoying the action and changing several fighters’ lives at the end of the night by awarding the contracts.

However, there was one fight that got the UFC boss off his seat more than others, as Sean O’Malley‘s teammate Tommy McMillen took on Russian contender David Mgoyan.

Dana reacts to wild war and crazy submission attempt

The featherweight fight opened up the night, which really set the tone for the fights that succeeded it.

Early in the first round, O’Malley’s teammate McMillen was dropped by his Russian opponent but quickly made it back to his feet and began trading with Mgoyan.

Despite that, McMillen was dropped again not long after when Mgoyan landed a huge spinning back elbow, but again Tommy ‘Gun’ made it back to his feet.

And then with just one minute left of the round, Mgoyan had McMillen caught in an arm in guillotine whilst also twisting his body around.

Somehow the American made it out of the submission attempt and then took over the fight in rounds two and three to pick up the majority decision win.

After the event, White took to Instagram live where he reacted to the fight and the crazy submission attempt.

“What do I always tell you guys, every Tuesday, please tell me you saw this first fight on the Contender Series.

“It is f—— crazy how nasty this fight was, his head was spun around the other way. I’ve never, I don’t know if I’ve ever other than Rose Namajunas getting dropped on her head and maybe a couple other times where it looks like they’re getting spiked on their head in a scramble in wrestling that I thought someone’s head was gonna pop off like this kids tonight.

“He didn’t tap, unbelievable. The best show on television,” White reacted on Instagram.

McMillen was transported to hospital following the fight

After such a war between both fighters, McMillen was also transported to the hospital following the fight, but not before White gave him his UFC contract.

Tommy ‘Gun’ will be hoping to replicate the success of his teammate O’Malley who also came through the contender series, and went on to become a UFC champion.
