Dana White says Jon Jones vs. Israel Adesanya fight could still happen

Could the beef between Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya still be settled? It seems that way.

UFC president Dana White revealed the fight may still happen despite Jones saying he's going to heavyweight. TMZ Sports recently spoke with White, who revealed that he's not necessarily sure what Jones will do, so a fight between the two sides hasn't been ruled out:

"Jon hasn't moved up to heavyweight yet. We don't know what Jon's gonna do. If you're Jon Jones right now, you probably sit back and watch what happens this weekend, see who wins, how they win, and maybe make them defend the title and then you come back and try to regain it.

"Or you move up to heavyweight. Or if Adesanya wins this weekend, you fight Adesanya, I don't know. Jon Jones is in a really good position right now."

The beef between Jones and Adesanya was fueled last April when the Nigerian-born fighter said he "already killed one G.O.A.T." and is hunting the next.

The G.O.A.T. he already "killed' was Anderson Silva, whom Adesanya beat in February 2019. Since then, the fighters have gone back-and-forth, promising to beat the bag out of each other.

Before Adesanya can fight Jones, though, he'll be in the ring with Paulo Costa. If he beats Costa, then he can think about taking down Jones.
