Dana White has confirmed the UFC card at the White House and is promising something out of the ordinary for fans – but not without a hefty price tag attached.

White has been working from the UFC ‘war room’ this week, helping put together what is expected to be a landmark event in Washington, DC on June 14.

While he has not given much away yet – including how many title fights will be included – he did not hold back on his confidence in the card, telling fans it will be ‘so bada—’.

With major figures in the company’s history, from Conor McGregor to Jon Jones, angling for a spot on the card, White is preparing to travel to Washington. His visit is to finalize the show’s details with President Donald Trump and his daughter, Ivanka.

Dana White announces UFC White House card has been finalized

White has spent months pushing back on questions about the UFC White House event, repeatedly saying no matchups had been discussed. But that stance changed last weekend when he revealed during a post-fight press conference that the card is now set, opening the door to a wave of media attention.

Speaking after Zuffa Boxing 3 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, the 56-year-old businessman told reporters: “We have two different options laid out and the matchmaking process is already laid out so, yeah. We got the White House card done last week.”

When pressed for details, including the number of title fights that would be featured, he stated firmly that he was “not saying anything”.

Dana White appears to contradict himself after claiming UFC White House card is ‘done’

Despite saying the card was ‘done,’ he then told another reporter: “I didn’t say it was done, I said the card was built.” He added that two different options are being considered for how the night will be structured.

“I’m not talking about the White House card… We’ve been kicking around a lot of ideas and me and Borsari actually fly to DC this week and sit down with the President and his team and start walking them through not just the production but the fight card.

“We have like three different options on all the different production stuff and we will see what he likes and what he doesn’t like.”

There also appears to be a difference of opinion between White and Trump regarding how large the crowd will be. The UFC CEO has previously said it would be held in front of dignitaries, while President Trump claimed an arena is being built specifically for fans.
