Mike Perry is undoubtedly the biggest star to emerge from Conor McGregor’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship promotion in recent years. He recently stepped away from BKFC after suffering a high-profile boxing loss to Jake Paul. Since that fight, Perry has sparked a heated rivalry with McGregor, which became obvious during his first return to BKFC.
After his loss to Paul, Perry was mocked by McGregor for underperforming and losing to a former YouTuber-turned-boxer. This triggered a full-blown back-and-forth between the two, with the Irishman allegedly kicking Perry out of BKFC. Things intensified recently when Perry got a fight date and faced off with McGregor, who reminded him he’s still the boss.
You are welcome back because I welcomed you back. October 11th is your date and you will dance for me boy. You’ll dance for the owner and then we can talk. Michael Perry, the return of Platinum and we got some hell of an announcement of an opponent for you. One of the baddest man to ever grace the Ultimate Fighting Championship comes to Bare Knuckle and he’s gonna throw it down with you. In front of me for my viewing pleasure and then I’ll decide if you are worthy.

Before McGregor made his comments, Perry was asked about facing the ‘Notorious’ and enthusiastically expressed interest in that potential showdown. Although McGregor remains under an exclusive UFC contract, he has openly shown interest in competing in bare-knuckle fighting someday soon.
In BKFC, there is no bigger name than ‘Platinum Perry’, who has the trash-talking abilities to stand in front of McGregor. However, the Irishman firmly stated he would only entertain the fight if Perry defeats his next opponent, an unnamed former UFC veteran.

Perry has already fought and completely destroyed former UFC legends such as Thiago Alves, Eddie Alvarez, Luke Rockhold, and several others. However, it would be very interesting to see what McGregor has actually planned for the BKFC fans and audience next.
MMA fans across the globe were thrilled when U.S. President Donald Trump officially announced a UFC event at the White House. UFC CEO Dana White has also approved the plan, confirming it will take place next year for America’s 250th Independence Day. As expected, many top superstars have expressed their desire to join the card, including legendary names like Jon Jones and Conor McGregor.
Jones revealed that he has reentered the testing pool just a few weeks after publicly announcing his sudden and surprising retirement. Meanwhile, the ‘Notorious’ has repeatedly teased the idea of ending his long-standing rivalry with Michael Chandler at the White House event. However, according to UFC Hall of Famer Chael Sonnen, there’s a strong possibility that neither of these fights will actually happen.
I do believe that Conor would like to fight if it was at The White House, but I think if they bring something special to The White House, I think you’re likely to have a title somewhere in there and Conor doesn’t qualify for that and Jones has openly said, ‘I’m not going to do that.’ If I’m to take these guys at their word, then I’ve got to call B.S.

According to Dana White, both Jones and Conor McGregor are fully committed and aiming for the ‘Bones’ vs. Tom Aspinall main event. However, UFC veteran Daniel Cormier believes that Jones fighting and potentially losing to Aspinall could look bad on Independence Day. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to watch how the UFC handles this chaotic buildup and manages all the involved superstars.
