Darren Till’s first opponent in BKFC has been confirmed, coming just a few weeks after he joined the organisation.
Since leaving the UFC in 2022, Darren Till has managed to carve out a successful path for himself in boxing.
Till’s exhibition boxing debut came against Anthony Taylor back in January 2023, where he stopped the former Bellator fighter with a fifth-round knockout.
He then went on to beat MMA veteran Darren Stewart before making headlines with a knockout win over former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold.
It was only recently that Darren Till announced his departure from Misfits Boxing, a surprising move given his success there.
During that announcement, Till shared that he had signed with Conor McGregor’s BKFC and would be making his debut on May 30th in Birmingham.
He has now confirmed that his first opponent will be reality TV star Aaron Chalmers.
“Aaron Chalmers, yeah (from Geordie Shore),” Till said during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show.
Chalmers is best known for his time on the reality series Geordie Shore and made his professional MMA debut in 2017 before earning a shot with Bellator.
Till spoke about Chalmers’ background:
Till is hopeful of securing a long-awaited clash against longtime rival Mike Perry following Perry’s MMA return against Nate Diaz on May 16th.
